Flight to Pangkalan Bun for Orangutan Tour

Pangkalan Bun is the capital of the Kotawaringin Barat regency, in the Western part of Central Kalimantan. This is the entry point to reach Tanjung Puting Park, and the Dayak villages. From USA/Europe/Australia/Asia/Singapore, the easiest way is you fly to Jakarta. Then from Jakarta direct fly to Pangkalan Bun .

If you start your Orangutan tour from Bali,  we advise to take EARLY flight from Bali to Jakarta then connect to Pangkalan Bun. As an alternative, you can fly from Bali to Yogyakarta then drive to Semarang ( about 4 - 5 hours ) but you need to stay overnight in Yogyakarta or Semarang to catch your flight to Pangkalan Bun.

If you do this you can combine with tours to see Borobudur Temple, the biggest Buddhist Temple in the world & Yogyakarta cultural heritage.

So if you would like to go to Bali, after the trip with the orangutan you need to fly from Pangkalan Bun to Semarang then drive to Yogyakarta for about 3 hours to catch your flight to Bali.

** Please notice there is NO DIRECT FLITE from Semarang to Bali but via Yogyakarta or Jakarta.

We DO NOT recommend to CONNECT INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT with domestic flight from Pangkalan Bun but at least one day before you should stay at big city with the international airport connection in case some delay or cancel flight from Pangkalan Bun.

We will help you book your domestic flights within Indonesia.  That way, if there are any problems with your schedule or delayed when you are in a remote area, we will be able to contact the airline to make the necessary changes.
